Description

A sketch resulting from impressions of American hip hop culture, as it had developed through the 90’s, in addition to general American obesity and imperialism growing out of that period.  The resulting imagery illustrated a sense of decadence, materialism, addiction, stupidity, and vanity of popularized “urbanity”, and how it seemed part of an institution in no arbitrary way feeding from its own lineage.  The American cyst in this image is attached to the skeletonized form of a figure, right–its remaining life force escaping the onslaught only through the flies buzzing around its skull.
